KAPA3 – Cancer Guidance Center was founded in 2020 to gather all useful information in one website, so that patients with cancer can access accurate information about beneficial legal ordinances as well as useful health and social care services and facilities. KAPA3 provides information through the website www.kapa3.gr and the free mobile app Personal Health Assistant (for Android and iOS). Personal Health Assistant is the first digital platform that offers personalized information and support to cancer patients in Greece.

In addition, KAPA3 provides personalized assistance with formal applications and requests, informing and solving bureaucratic issues regarding the social and legal rights of patients, in accordance with the Greek legislation. The Mobile Response and Prevention Unit is an innovative idea, which provides the patient with the opportunity to have a trusted person by their side throughout the course of their illness, both in and out of the hospital. Our personnel at the Theagenio Cancer Hospital of Thessaloniki process applications and requests on behalf of patients and submit them to the appropriate civil services or government organizations, offering social along with medical care.

The KAPA3 team includes experienced professionals (economists, lawyers, health service executives, social scientists, nurses, IT technicians and engineers, cultural and sport executives) and is supported by administrative staff and volunteers, who share the same goals and vision.

Their goal is to improve the quality of life of people with cancer and create new prospects for their social integration, protection, and long-term employment.
