Dr. Ioannis Vamvakaris (male) trained in Pathology at the Sotiria General Hospital (Athens). In 2008 he was appointed as a
specialist/consultant in pathology and since then is working at the pathology department. He was awarded a scholarship of post-graduated program (Master) in thoracic oncology in Athens School of Medicine and he was appointed MSc in 2013, as well as an educational postgraduate program Patient-Crisis-Emergency Management “BERLIN SCHOOL of ECONOMICS”  Berlin 2008.He got his PhD thesis in 2018, from Athens School of Medicine. From 2008, he is in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of Greece for the museum of Sotiria hospital .From 2014 he is member of the GMC UK . Since January 2019 he is the Head of the Pathology Department of Sotiria General Hospital.

His main field of interest is Thoracic pathology. He is Instructor of pathology to a variety of educational programs of pathologic, molecular and biomarkers field.He is rewier in different journals(Elsevier) and certified trainer in pathology and multidisciplinary oncologic board. He is author and co-author of international and national articles and presentations.
